Boston Rising is an antipoverty fund. Our mission is to end the cycle of poverty in Boston by clearing the way for the Rising Class. We do two things: we catalyze resources and we invest for huge impact.
Boston Rising believes that each individual best knows his or her own goals and ambitions. We invest in programs and leaders who believe the same and do business accordingly. By connecting and engaging an unprecedented number of advocates for the Rising Class, we will end the cycle of poverty in Boston.
Our board confidently funds our operations at scale. All other donors, then, can invest in Boston Rising knowing that 100% of every dollar goes into impact. Donors can direct their money to one of two funds, Grants and Investments and Catalyst. When you invest in Boston Rising online, your donation goes directly to supporting our Grants and Investments Fund.
GRANTS AND INVESTMENTS FUND
The Grants and Investments Fund invests every cent of every donor dollar in grants or loans to effective non-profits, programs, and schools in Boston that are clearing the way for the Rising Class. Unless otherwise specified, public donations go to this fund, including online donations.
CATALYST FUND
Our Catalyst Fund supports the incubation and/or advancement of new ideas and programs. Simply put, when opportunities to invest in effective non-profits, programs, and schools do not exist, we help get them started. Our goal in all cases with our Catalyst work is to spin-off these operations, programs, or methods into the communities in which we invest.
